Dmitri and Evgeniya Matvienko began adopting by taking in sisters Nastya and Toma, who had been separated and sent to different orphanages. Only 6 months later, they adopted infant Masha and a couple years later, their family had grown to nine children—four biological and five adopted. Pray that God would provide for the Matvienko's as they strive to love and care for 9 children!...April 30, 2013
In the summer of 2011 a Christian family opened their home to three siblings -- Sasha (7), Andrey (4) and Sveta (18 months). The family loves them so much so that they have decided to adopt all three and become their forever family! Alexander and Victoria Bespalov have devoted their lives to ministry. The couple would set up holiday and birthday celebrations at the local orphanages but soon realized that the joy quickly left the children’s faces. They felt convicted that the best place for a child was in a loving family. Not long after, they adopted their first daughter, Luba. Alexander shared their testimony of adoption as he preached and as a result approximately 100 children were adopted by people who were inspired by his message! On March 22 and 23, our partners at Russia Without Orphans held a working conference in Moscow, where they gathered with believers from around Russia to strategize for how to best serve orphans and children at risk. Praise God for this amazing event, and the way He is stirring the hearts of believers in Russia to care for orphans! Roma is 11 and his foster mom wants to return him to the orphanage. The Family Fund is working to find a new family for Roma and minimize the psychological trauma for him. Please pray for a new family for Roma, that the transition would be smooth, and that he will never have to return to the orphanage!...April 09, 2013
