Join us in praising God for a unique resource that has been assembled! The Orphan Care Resources Directory was compiled and is being continuously updated by The CoMission for Children at Risk. This directory is invaluable because, while thousands of different methods, programs, materials and media exist to minister to orphans, until now there was no central clearinghouse for these resources. Organizations, churches and individuals facing challenges or desiring to develop their orphan ministries -- especially in Russia and Ukraine -- typically had few, if any, places to turn to for help. And parents bringing children into their families through adoption or foster care had very limited resources specific to their needs. The Directory -- whose compilers focused on finding the best resources available in Russian -- includes a database of more than 1,000 books, videos, articles, and other resources on children at risk, along with a list of the top 50 resources available in Russian. Praise God that, initially, 2,000 hard-copy Directories were distributed!
